Summit Celebrates 10 Years: Bold Ideas, Trusted Partnerships, and Lasting Impact

Celebrating 10 years of Summit

What began as a Salesforce-focused startup in Columbus has grown into a national technology consulting company helping organizations modernize, innovate, and thrive.

This year, we're proud to celebrate Summit's 10th anniversary, marking a decade of growth, innovation, trusted partnerships, and client success.

When Summit opened its doors in Columbus in 2016, we were a small, entrepreneurial consulting company with a handful of passionate professionals and an ambitious vision. We became a Salesforce partner that same year and began building our reputation by helping clients get more value from the platform.

Ten years later, Salesforce remains an important part of our foundation, but Summit has grown considerably. Our capabilities have expanded across advisory, data, AI, integration, analytics, managed services, and modernization. We now work with organizations across government, higher education, nonprofit, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and other industries.

Summit has served more than 330 clients and completed more than 1,300 successful implementations. We have built expertise across more than 80 areas of certification, maintain a 5-star Salesforce AppExchange rating, and have reached Summit status, Salesforce's top consulting tier.

Those accomplishments tell only part of the story. The rest is about the people who built Summit, the clients who trusted our team, the relationships that grew along the way, and our willingness to keep evolving.

Through it all, our mission has remained simple: help organizations solve complex business challenges through technology, strategy, and innovation while staying focused on measurable outcomes.

A Journey Built on Vision

For Summit, it started with a belief that exceptional consulting should be measured not by billable hours, but by measurable outcomes.

We entered a crowded consulting marketplace as a small, entrepreneurial company competing with some of the largest technology organizations in the world. Without a global brand or thousands of consultants, we relied on expertise, agility, responsiveness, creative problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to client success.

Those early years demanded long hours, calculated risks, and uncertainty.

Every client mattered.

Every project mattered.

Every relationship mattered.

That entrepreneurial mindset became the foundation of a culture that still defines Summit today.

"We didn't set out simply to build another consulting company," said Moez Chaabouni, Founder and CEO of Summit. "We set out to build a company that clients could genuinely trust, a company that would tell them what they needed to hear, not simply what they wanted to hear. We believed that if we consistently delivered exceptional results and treated every client like a long-term partner, growth would follow. Looking back over these ten years, I'm incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished together."

Growth followed through the relationships we built, the problems clients trusted us to solve, and the expertise we developed.

A Decade of Milestones

Summit's first decade unfolded in chapters, each one expanding what we could do for our clients.

2016-2019: Building the Foundation

  • Summit was founded in Columbus in 2016 and became a Salesforce partner that same year. Salesforce consulting, implementation, customization, and integration established the foundation for our early growth.
  • Our work and client base broadened, with projects increasingly touching customer experience, analytics, and digital services across commercial, nonprofit, education, healthcare, and government organizations.
  • Community involvement began early. In November 2016, we joined the Pledge 1% movement and committed 1% of our services to Columbus-area nonprofits.

2020-2022: Growing the Team, Expertise, and Reputation

  • Our team and expertise grew as client needs became more complex, including work across integration, data, analytics, customer experience, and digital modernization.
  • External recognition followed, including Fast 50 and Best Places to Work honors from Columbus Business First and recognition among Central Ohio's largest IT consulting firms.
  • In 2022, Summit reached Salesforce Ridge status, reflecting continued growth in customer success, innovation, certifications, and Salesforce expertise.

2023-2025: Expanding Beyond Implementation

  • Summit advanced from Ridge to Crest and ultimately reached Summit status in 2025.
  • Our role with clients broadened, with strategic advisory, managed services, public-sector modernization and constituent engagement, data, analytics, AI, and organizational transformation becoming more important parts of our work.
  • Becoming a certified Salesforce Managed Services Provider strengthened our ability to support clients beyond go-live, while continued investment in intellectual property, frameworks, accelerators, and reusable solutions expanded how we could help.

2026: Bringing the Pieces Together

  • We formalized our Data, Analytics & AI capabilities into an integrated portfolio and expanded our executive advisory capabilities.
  • We continued investing in proprietary solutions, strategic partnerships, and emerging technologies.
  • Summit merged with Aimpoint Technology, bringing together our Salesforce delivery scale with Aimpoint's strategic advisory and public-sector depth.

Together, these milestones show how a small Salesforce consulting company grew, one client and one challenge at a time, into the Summit of today.

Evolving With the Industry

The technology landscape has changed dramatically since Summit opened its doors.

Cloud computing became mainstream. Digital transformation accelerated. Organizations accumulated more systems and data. Analytics became increasingly important to decision-making, while artificial intelligence changed expectations for how organizations operate, automate processes, serve people, and use information. Data became a critical strategic asset.

Rather than simply reacting to those changes, we continued investing in the capabilities, people, partnerships, and intellectual property we believed our clients would increasingly need.

Their challenges were evolving, too. A Salesforce implementation might depend on other enterprise systems. A reporting challenge could expose data quality or integration issues. An AI initiative might raise questions about readiness, governance, security, accountability, or fit with existing processes.

As those challenges became more interconnected, our role expanded with them.

Summit moved beyond CRM implementations into enterprise integration, analytics, data strategy, AI governance, managed services, organizational transformation, and executive advisory. Today, clients can involve our team earlier and keep us engaged longer, from strategy through implementation, optimization, and support.

We have also invested in proprietary methodologies, including our VECTOR Framework™, designed to help organizations govern technology transformation and artificial intelligence responsibly while aligning innovation with measurable business outcomes.

Through all of that evolution, the goal has remained straightforward: understand what our clients are trying to accomplish, determine what will create meaningful value, and bring together the strategy, technology, people, and execution needed to make it happen.

Innovation Beyond Implementation

While implementation remains an important part of our work, Summit has increasingly embraced an advisory-first philosophy when the situation calls for it.

Before leaders decide how to build something, they often need help answering a more fundamental question:

What should we build, and why?

That perspective has positioned our team to work more closely with executives navigating digital transformation, AI adoption, data governance, workforce modernization, and other complex decisions.

It has also led us to invest in proprietary intellectual property, accelerators, frameworks, reusable solutions, emerging technologies, and strategic partnerships. The purpose is practical: apply what we have learned to help clients realize value faster while reducing risk.

"Innovation has always been part of Summit's DNA. Whether we're building accelerators, developing frameworks, or creating reusable solutions, our goal is simple: help clients realize value faster while reducing risk. The investments we're making today will shape how organizations modernize over the next decade," said Chris Zath, Director of Product & Intellectual Property.

That commitment continues to evolve. Summit's recent investments reflect a growing focus at the intersection of public-sector modernization, data, AI, and emerging technology.

The organization that began by helping clients implement technology now has the experience, intellectual property, and strategic depth to help shape what comes before implementation and what needs to happen long after it.

Powered by Extraordinary People

At the heart of Summit's success has always been our people.

Over the past decade, talented professionals across the company have contributed their expertise, creativity, curiosity, and passion to helping clients succeed. Consultants and developers, architects, project managers, business analysts, marketers, sales professionals, and operational leaders have all helped shape Summit's story.

As our capabilities have grown, our team has also developed deeper expertise across data, analytics, AI, strategic advisory, managed services, and public-sector modernization.

That breadth matters because modern transformation rarely stays inside one discipline. A Salesforce challenge may also be a data challenge. An AI opportunity may expose a governance issue. Even a technically sound solution can fall short if people don't understand it, adopt it, or see its value.

Throughout that growth, we have continued to emphasize continuous learning, collaboration, integrity, and putting clients first. Five consecutive Best Places to Work recognitions provide one external measure of the culture our team has built.

"Our greatest competitive advantage has never been technology," Chaabouni said. "Technology changes every year. Our people, their passion, integrity, curiosity, and commitment to doing the right thing, are what truly differentiate Summit. Everything we've achieved over the past decade is a reflection of their dedication."

For everyone who has helped build Summit during its first ten years, this milestone belongs to them, too.

Built on Lasting Partnerships

Summit's journey would not have been possible without the clients, strategic partners, and communities that placed their confidence in us along the way.

Today, we work across government, higher education, nonprofit, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and other commercial industries. The environments and challenges vary, but the common thread is trust.

Many of our earliest client relationships have endured over time, reflecting relationships built on transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and consistently delivering value.

"Clients don't hire Summit because we're the biggest. They hire us because we're invested in their success. Our relationships are built on trust, transparency, and delivering results. Many of our first clients are still with us today, and that's one of the accomplishments I'm most proud of," said Daniel Gray, Vice President of Business Development.

Our technology partners have also played an important role in Summit's growth, helping us create innovative solutions for organizations navigating increasingly complex digital landscapes.

At Summit, partnership means more than a vendor relationship; it describes how we work with clients, technology partners, employees, and communities.

A Transformational Milestone: Welcoming Aimpoint Technology

As Summit entered its tenth year, we reached another defining milestone with our merger with Aimpoint Technology.

The merger united two organizations with complementary strengths and a shared vision: delivering exceptional client outcomes through innovation, trusted partnerships, and deep industry expertise.

"This merger wasn't simply about growth," said Chaabouni. "It was about bringing together two exceptional teams with shared values and complementary strengths. Together, we're building a company that's greater than the sum of its parts, one that can help our clients solve bigger challenges, innovate faster, and prepare for the future with confidence."

Aimpoint brought talented professionals, strategic advisory depth, extensive state-government experience, and long-standing client relationships. Combined with Summit's existing strengths, the merger expanded our capabilities, strengthened our leadership team, and broadened our presence in public-sector and regulated industries.

Kevin Potter, former CEO of Aimpoint Technology, who joined Summit as Chief Operating Officer through the merger, added: "From day one, it was clear that our organizations shared the same philosophy: put clients first, invest in great people, and never stop innovating. The excitement around our future comes not only from what we've accomplished together already, but from the opportunities we now have to redefine what's possible for our clients."

Giving Back

As we've grown, we have remained deeply committed to giving back to the communities we serve.

That commitment began almost from the start. In November 2016, only months after Summit was founded, we joined the Pledge 1% movement and committed 1% of our services to nonprofit organizations in the Columbus area.

Over the years, we have supported educational initiatives, nonprofits, workforce development, technology communities, professional events, and future technology leaders. Our leadership has also remained active in industry organizations, community boards, civic initiatives, and public-private collaboration.

For a technology company, it is an important reminder that impact is measured by what people and organizations are better able to do because of it.

Looking Toward the Next Decade

Our first ten years have been marked by tremendous growth, but we believe some of our most exciting opportunities are still ahead.

Artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, modern data platforms, digital government, predictive analytics, and other emerging technologies are reshaping nearly every industry. Summit continues to make significant investments in the capabilities needed to help our clients embrace those opportunities responsibly while delivering measurable business and mission value.

"Ten years ago, Summit was driven by determination and a belief that exceptional service could outperform size. Today, we're helping some of the country's most complex organizations transform how they operate. What excites me most isn't what we've accomplished; it's the opportunity ahead. The next decade will be defined by AI, intelligent automation, and data-driven decision-making, and Summit is uniquely positioned to help our clients lead that transformation," said Potter.

Looking ahead, we plan to continue expanding our advisory services, AI capabilities, managed services, public-sector solutions, data and analytics practice, strategic partnerships, and proprietary intellectual property.

We enter our second decade with far more depth than when we started, but many of the beliefs that shaped our first ten years remain the same.

"We're incredibly proud of the last ten years," said Chaabouni. "But anniversaries aren't simply about looking back; they're about building momentum for what's next. Technology has never moved faster, and organizations have never needed trusted partners more. We're excited to continue helping our clients navigate that future with confidence."

A Heartfelt Thank You

As Summit celebrates this milestone, we extend our sincere appreciation to every client, employee, partner, investor, community leader, advisor, and friend who has been part of the journey.

Our clients trusted a young Salesforce consulting company with important first projects and often returned with the next challenge. Our employees, past and present, brought the expertise, creativity, passion, judgment, and hard work that built the Summit of today.

New practices, strategic partnerships, and the Aimpoint merger brought people, expertise, relationships, and perspectives that are shaping our next chapter. Our technology partners, investors, community leaders, advisors, friends, and supporters opened doors, shared expertise, and believed in what we were building.

From a scrappy startup fueled by determination and big dreams to a technology consulting company helping organizations transform how they serve customers, employees, and communities, our first decade has been defined by trust, collaboration, innovation, and shared success.

It is also a reminder of what is possible when the right people come together around a clear vision and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

To everyone who has been part of Summit's story: thank you.

The Summit of today looks very different from the company that began ten years ago. It should. That is what a decade of listening, learning, building, adapting, and earning trust looks like.

But the principles that mattered at the beginning still matter now: do excellent work, tell clients what they need to hear, invest in great people, keep learning, build relationships that last, innovate with purpose, and measure success by the outcomes we create for our clients and the people they serve.

Those principles built Summit's first decade and remain a strong foundation for whatever comes next.

Here's to the first ten years, and to an even brighter future ahead.

"Easy to Work With"
Angie W.

Northwoods worked with Summit to help migrate our Microsoft Dynamics CRM system to Salesforce.  Summit was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and easy to work with.  They were able to help us configure the system to handle complex business processes while making the system easy for end users.  They were also able to migrate all our legacy Dynamics data to the new Salesforce system.  Summit helped train our technical team on Salesforce administration while keeping the project on time and under budget.  I highly recommend Summit for any Salesforce-related project.

"Mind Blowing!"
Rachael H.

As a leader of a small non-profit aimed to scale rapidly and efficiently, I knew it was critical to transition from antiquated spreadsheets to a sophisticated CRM. We dabbled in Salesforce on our own the year prior. To put it mildly, I was terrified to go there again. Summit met my apprehension with confidence and reassurance. They were timely, efficient and positioned us to utilize Salesforce in ways we hadn’t imagined. Every day I’m in awe of what Salesforce can do; to the team’s credit for imparting their wisdom. Summit has positioned us for unprecedented opportunities at Walk with a Doc. Thank you!

"BEST Salesforce Consultant Available"
Catherine Z.

We went through 3 consultants before finding Summit. The difference was night and day, and the cost was very reasonable. They helped us get our Communities up and running in less than a week (after 2 other teams essentially dragged their feet for 9 months - yes, 9 months!). We are ecstatic! We also have Managed Services with them, for a few hundred bucks a month they are our go-to for anything Salesforce. The team is INSTANTLY responsive - like within 2 minutes. I have experienced other consultants and can tell you, there is no comparison. Hire Summit!

"Did a Wonderful Job"

We have primarily been using Salesforce for our sales team. Recently we decided to bring our support team on and Summit did an awesome job helping us get everything set up the way we needed.

"Transformation Data w/ Excellent Service"
Kay W.

The skill set and knowledge that Summit has brought to this project far surpasses our initial expectation- especially since our initial contact with Salesforce corp. was challenged in regards to utilizing training videos to suit our scope and need. Summit and team has been helpful in supporting our team with a custom solution in order for us to be able to serve our community better. They are timely and professional, and eager to learn about the why before telling us the what.

"Made our Dream CRM a Reality!"
Matt S.

Summit made our Salesforce dream a reality. As a small non-profit on a limited budget with very specific CRM needs we were challenged to find a suitable Salesforce partner. Fortunately we were introduced to Summit, and from day one they made the formidable task of implementing Salesforce doable (and even enjoyable!). The Summit team are pros, from their accessibility and communication to industry knowledge and attitude, they never said 'no' to a request. When we encountered hiccups along the way they took the time to trouble shoot and make fixes, even when it was outside the original scope of the project. We didn't deviate from the project timeline or budget, which says a lot considering our custom needs for data collection/reporting, donor communication, and third party plug-ins. If you are considering implementing Salesforce or have any Salesforce needs, I highly recommend Summit and their team.
