About Tenants Together
Tenants Together is a statewide coalition of local tenant organizations dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of California tenants to safe, decent, and affordable housing. As California’s only statewide renters’ rights organization, Tenants Together works to improve the lives of California’s tenants through capacity-building, movement-building, and statewide advocacy. Tenants Together seeks to support and strengthen the statewide movement for renters’ rights.
The Challenge
Due to the loss of income and subsequent rent-related challenges stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, Tenants Together was quickly becoming overwhelmed with the number of new requests for assistance with housing issues. Their Salesforce CRM and email marketing tool, Action Network, were not integrated, and Tenants Together were finding it difficult to parcel and distribute these requests to the correct parties, and to properly market to their email lists. They were experiencing bounce-back issues from their emails, and also needed a way to integrate their tenant helpline.
The Solution

They were able to reduce the amount of time it took their users to respond to incoming requests, and the time spent sending marketing emails. Summit remains engaged with the client to ensure proper adoption of the system and to assist with any further customizations and training.
