We are looking for a creative and driven Salesforce developer to work with our team and our clients to customize the Salesforce platform. This is a customer facing role, delivered remotely, so communication skills and the ability to contribute on a highly functioning team are a must. The position is permanent and full-time and not a contract position.
No 1099, C2C or Corp to Corp candidates please.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy innovative Salesforce solutions including complex Flows, Lightning Web Components, Apex triggers and classes, VisualForce pages and more
- Execute declarative Salesforce platform configuration when possible
- Use Apex, Visualforce and JavaScript to create unique customer-based solutions
- Build product integrations using API’s, Apex and iPaaS technologies
- Develop new native products on the platform
- Interact directly with our customers and the Summit Technologies team, including consultants, project managers, business analysts, architects and sales reps to ensure customer success
- Participate in the full application life cycle from technical design to development, testing, and deployment
Essential Functions
- Possesses knowledge, skills, and experience building custom declarative and programmatic applications on the Force.com platform
- Design data models, user interfaces, business logic, and security for custom applications
- Contributes to the overall Salesforce solution that optimizes the client’s investment in the platform, balancing business needs with technical complexity. Specifically, this position will utilize Apex, JavaScript and Visualforce to create unique client-based solutions.
- This role will span all aspects of the software development lifecycle and include working alongside the client’s business, development and user experience teams in a highly collaborative environment
- Ability to translate documented business use cases into functional solutions
- Adheres to platform best practices
- Understands and embraces test-driven development, Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Responsible for developing new features and functionality as well as integrating new modules that enhance the client’s experience with the Salesforce platform. Builds product extensions using Visualforce and Apex technologies
- Routinely participates in problem analysis with client business users and assists in determining software solutions and enhancements. Participates in design review meetings and the evaluation of technical requirements and options associated with the client project.
- May also provide maintenance, including troubleshooting, support for the Salesforce platform and triage support issues to other areas of development if needed
- Remains abreast of the current and future Salesforce feature set and how those changes are relevant to the client organization
Required Qualifications
- Salesforce.com Developer Certified
- 1+ years of experience with programming in APEX, Visualforce and the Web Services API
- 2+ years of general IT/Programming experience
- Be able to design and build integrations between SFDC and other applications
- Be able to see a task from a business standpoint, not just a technical perspective
- Be results-oriented, able to take a task and achieve objectives with minimal guidance
- Know how to quantify and visualize business data
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well both individually and within a team
- Comfort in working in a small company atmosphere at a fast pace
Additional Beneficial Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
- 1+ years of experience with Salesforce.com administration
- Lightning Component / JavaScript development experience
