Top Lock’s operational structure includes dedicated teams for National Accounts, Local Accounts, Project Management, and Vendor Management, all supported by a centralized back office handling dispatch, work order tracking, and billing.

The Challenge

As Top Lock grew, so did its need for a more scalable, transparent, and efficient field service management solution—leading to the decision to implement Salesforce Field Service (FSL). Prior to Salesforce, the team faced challenges with fragmented systems, limited visibility into field operations, and time-consuming manual coordination between departments and vendors. Top Lock experienced a failed Salesforce Sales Cloud implementation and were persuaded to implement Field Service. They considered leaving the Salesforce platform completely, but after interviewing multiple partners for this project, Summit gave them the confidence to move forward with scoping & eventual project implementation.

The Solution

Top Lock needed a team of experts to work hand in hand with Top Lock to implement Salesforce to match their existing processes for the following:

Summit assisted with creation of several comprehensive reports and dashboards. Top Lock also needed general Admin & User training to encourage adoption after the original failed launch.

Summit made our Salesforce dream a reality. As a small non-profit on a limited budget with very specific CRM needs we were challenged to find a suitable Salesforce partner. Fortunately we were introduced to Summit, and from day one they made the formidable task of implementing Salesforce doable (and even enjoyable!). The Summit team are pros, from their accessibility and communication to industry knowledge and attitude, they never said 'no' to a request. When we encountered hiccups along the way they took the time to trouble shoot and make fixes, even when it was outside the original scope of the project. We didn't deviate from the project timeline or budget, which says a lot considering our custom needs for data collection/reporting, donor communication, and third party plug-ins.
